Friends For Life

Hi all, Donna here with a Wintery share.
This is a page of my friends and I at the recent Scrapping Life retreat.
I tried to keep with blues and silvers for the colours for Winter
I have used the 'Friends for life' title and used embossing enamels
and I love how glossy the black looks
I have also used the ' Doodlet 02' flourish painted in a dark blue
My background has just been created with shimmerz paints and some doilies I have cut up and
layered with some glitter stars and some washi tape.

Hope I have inspired you to get crafty!

Beautiful Boy

One day my boy decided he wanted a suit. OK I said after a period when all he wanted was wearing sports pants and T-shirts... This photo was taken on Midsummer eve, a festivity in Sweden. Of course he had to make a goofy face, but still I find him to be a beautiful boy.

First I sprayed Gesso on the scraplet. After it was complete dry, I added red ink and them clear embossing powder to get that fancy finish.

Supply:
FabScraps Elegant Chic collection
Gesso, masks, stamps, mist, ink, perfect pearl.
Flowers, leafs, pins, metall embellishments, brads, gems, thread.
Stickers, Stickles, border punches, lace.
A2Z Scraplets used:

P-Plater

Good morning!  Another week closer to Christmas...it's kinda scary how fast this year is vanishing.

My layout for you today features some new circles and an older title I found in my stash, purchased when I saw it in anticipation of this layout.  I bought the "P Plater" title knowing that one day my daughter would be on her P's - I just didn't realise how quickly that one day would come!

The title was simply coated generously with gesso and white paint, then I coated the plater section with kindyglitz for some shimmer.  I also backed the 'P' with red cardstock.  All circles were first coated with gesso, then painted with co-ordinating paint.

I hope you have an enjoyable week.  Until next time, happy scrapping.

Always Believe In Yourself

Hi everyone, Kerry here today for some A2Z Scraplet inspiration. Here is a layout of my DD. Something I always want all my kids to believe and that is to "always believe in  yourself". Something we can probably all try to take into account.

Again I have used these texture pieces and have painted them. You can find them in the shop here.

I have received my awesome DT pack so am going to create something special.
Hope you all have a very scrappy weekend..
Thanks for stopping by Kerry xx

Thinking of You

Hello Everybody,  It is me, Lauren up on the blog today to share with you some creative goodness, I hope you are inspired!.

Hope  all is well and you can feel Winter coming to an end soon with Springlike weather becoming the norm.  I can be wishing.

So I made a card for you.  Well two actually, just for you to enjoy with lushous goodies on them from A2Z Scaplets shop.  Oh my do I love to shop!!

So while I was shopping, I had to buy this fantastic set of four dies from Memory Box called Distressed Windham Collage (style 30041) from A2Z Scraplets Shop of course!  Well you know I love Memory Box Dies and you know I love Distressed and I also love Collage, so this one was just calling my name.  Four beautiful dies in different patterns and sizes just the one I have used.  Perfect for so many projects and ideas.  On this card I have also put some foliage, lovely handmade by me flowers and some other bought flowers and some lovely A2Z Scraplets Chippie flowers Scribbly Flowers Set of 3 Shapes.

The Chipboard flowers have been done with gesso to give a good coating for the spray to cling to.  A double go of Ranger Perfect Pearl Spray and then some glitter sprinkled.  Then heated and embossed.  The embossing was a bit patchy as I think I need more heat, so practice will be needed for this technique form me.  But I am sure you will do better with it. Embossing has never been my best trick!!

The Flowers are finished with some Ice Stickles from Ranger.  I have fallen in love again with this glitter glue, hmmm....

Hope you like it :)

And this second card is in my favourite pink and green.  Another new die from Memory Box called Modern Border Trim (style 30048), love these arrows and the cutout bits I have used to add to the area around the chipboard.  The ruffled ribbon and the added (dimensionally) the butterfly swirls from, they are really Butterfly and Flourish Medium from  A2Z Scraplets.

The Butterfly Swirl is done with Gesso, a coat of paint, pink on the butterflies and green on the rest.

Then sprinkled with glitter while still wet, and when dry I have used Ranger Inkessentials Medium Crackle Accents.  Love the way this dries more crackly the longer it dries.

Hope you like it :)

Hugs :)

Family Matters

Hi, Caz here with you today. Hoping to share a little bit of inspiration with you.

The A2z Scraplets word I used is perfect for this moment in time. This layout uses the gorgeous A2z Scraplet word Family Matters Please excuse my photography today. The skies are dark here and its blowing and wanting to rain. We are forecast for snow down to the 200 metre level tonight, I think we have had our fair share of snow this year so am not really fussed if we do not see anymore. So it is not perfect for photographing crafts at the moment.

I embellished the Scraplet using Perfect Pearls.

Some close ups for you. The perfect Pearls give it that nice soft metallic look. different but subtle.

I hope you are keeping warm. Just think soon Summer will be lapping at our doors I cannot wait.

Till next time

Take care

Caz

Disco night in the neighborhood

In the beginning of summer we traditionally have a Disco night in the neighborhood to celebrate that schools out for the summer. Everyone in the neighborhood are welcome to dance, mingle and chat for a few hours. We even have a real DJ. It is mostly the mums that dance... and drink wine together... very cosy... a nice tradition.

I covered the background with clear gesso first, then added lots of mist and stamps.

I have used masks and heavy gesso to make the pattern and then I added some matte gel and small blue pearls.

I first covered the scraplet with distress ink (Peacock feathers) and then dried. Then I used an embossing pen to color just the area inside the lines. I colored one letter at a time and embossed with gold embossing to make sure there was a rich coverage.

Supply:
FabScraps Royal Baby collection
Gesso, masks, mist, stamps, matte gel
Flowers, leafs, pins, pearls
Flag clips, buttons, brads
Distress ink, gold embossing powder, embossing pen
A2Z Scraplets used:
